This is our motto in any project we choose to support. We strongly believe that by getting involved in the community, we can make a difference, we can change tomorrow. And the talented and visionary persons in various fields have a real chance to reach as far as possible. The first 6 months of 2019 were under the sign of performance and success. Here are some of the events, projects and people that we supported during this period and that made us very proud to be with them.
Galaţi Semi Marathon 2019
This is a soul project for us and, since it is organized, we have become traditional partners. Galaţi Community Foundation organized at the beginning of this summer the 6th edition of Galaţi Semi Marathon, being the largest running and fundraising event in the county. This year, the Semi Marathon was about Galaţi and about the small changes, which can make a big difference for the city.
This edition was about movement for change. Change of Galaţi City for the better, through the involvement since the very beginning of initiative groups or NGOs. No less than 12 causes benefit from all the donations collected, and we are always at their side, both as sponsors and as runners, with part of the Ramplast team..
Arad Rally, Harghita Rally, Sibiu Rally
We are passionate about automotive and the rallies allow us to feel the adrenaline rush of a competition, to explore beautiful areas of the country but especially to support one of the best rally drivers of the new generation. Andy Girtofan is a very talented and ambitious rally driver who entered the champions’ road this year, winning his first rally of the “big boys” group! He worked very hard, but all the effort was worth it. In the spring he won one of the toughest macadam rallies. Then he climbed the ladder of success in all rallies of the season, being always on the podium. Congratulations, Andy! We are proud to be with you.
Pitch Start up Contest
At the beginning of the month, we were invited to be part of the jury of the Just Pitch! Startups Contest project, organized by Openhub, an IT club in Galați set up thanks to the collective passion for technology and information. Congratulations to all the young people who have participated with project ideas and good luck to the winner, Dediu Roxana, a young woman with a vision, who will start a business in the field of 3D printing. With the help of a 3D printer, she will produce prototype models that can be used by various stores for display, so as to reduce the waste of raw materials or stock products. We will continue to support meaningful projects developed by the local community in Galați.
